About Stella Earth, LLC

My story really begins on October 14th, 2002 when my dear friend Stella came into the world. I had grown up with animals of all kinds, but Stella was different. She was not a family pet, but my live-in family. I visited her every weekend until finally, on November 30th, I brought her home!

Stella was more than just my best friend. She was my Zen Master!  She taught me so much about life, unconditional love, trust and compassion.  Laughter and smiles and smooches were a part of our everyday life. Daily walks and play sessions were a part of the regular routine, as any good dog lover knows!  Despite these wonderful daily interactions, the most important gift my Stella gave me was the direction to follow my heart and dreams, bringing me to where I am today.

Stella passed on June 19th, 2009 in her own very personal, but stoic way after battling an aggressive form of cancer.  Her illness led us to alternative holistic veterinary practices and awakened in me a need to do as much for her and other animals as I could.  While she was ill, I enrolled in the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage.  My compassion for my girl and all animals blossomed into understanding and skills for helping animal's live happier, healthier lives.

I am honored to name my business after Stella.  As I am a student of the Five Element Theory, the Earth plays a role in my work and so it too has its place in my business. Stella Earth, LLC is a reflection of Stella's lessons and my own growth, learning, and desire to enhance animals' lives.

Lisa volunteers for the Boulder Humane Society. In her free time she enjoys running, triathlons and yoga.  She lives in Boulder county with her husband, Kurt and their border collie puppy, Olive.
